It is all based on the biblical interpretation model of seeing how the scriptures were received by the original biblical audience then building a bridge for relevance to the contemporary audience. The biggest mistake we make in our Christian walks is to think God's words evolve and mean something different as time goes on; it is simply applied differently as time goes on and as our circumstances change. This process is done over and over as society and time marches on.
